REDUCS has one diesel fuel path and one water path. The diesel fuel enters one side (the outer side of the device) and exits the other. The inlet diesel fuel must be clean and taken from the low pressure part of the fuel system. Accordingly, the diesel fuel output from the filter moving to the injector pump must first be enter to REDUCS after exiting the filter and then directed to the injector pump. An arrow on the REDUCS indicates the direction of the diesel fuel movement. Therefore, the diesel path must be connected to the device in such a way that the movement of the diesel fuel within the device is identical to the direction of the arrow.
The hot water coming out of the engine enters one side (the inner side of the device) and exits the other side after passing a direct route of heating the diesel fuel in outer side. The hot water should be entered into the device immediately after leaving the engine at the highest temperature. Therefore, the hot water coming out of the engine (which drives towards the vehicle heater) should be entered into the device immediately after leaving the engine. Each side of the water paths on the device can be used as input or output.
The reason for the hot water flow in the device is that the best REDUCS performance occurs when the diesel fuel temperature is around 50 to 60 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the flow of hot water inside the device helps to keep the diesel fuel temperature at the desired temperature in winter. In summer, the (vehicle heater’s) water line is closed and there is no hot water flow inside REDUCS, but due to the high temperature of the diesel fuel in the summer there is virtually no need to warm it up and thus the device will perform best in summer.
To install the Redox, one must find a suitable part of the body of the car in a part of the engine compartment where the device can be mounted on it, the length of the fuel hoses attached to the device being as short as possible.

Important point in installing the device is that the ground connection of the device must be made through the unpainted bases of the device and by means of mounting screws. To ensure the electrical connection of the device, the wire in the device box must be connected between the unpainted base of the device and the body of the vehicle.
